Short Statement: Total responses were decreased by 261 responses due to an adjustment in the agency’s estimate. Previously, grantee responses were reported in aggregate, listing only one response per information collection instrument, rather than listing the true number of responses. Burden hours were reduced by 2,023 hours due the adjustment in agency estimate of respondents, particularly the number of active scholars. The burden hours were reduced by 962 hours due to the program office's improved collection instructions and consolidation of data collection options. These changes will improve the accuracy of data collected, reduce burden required per respondent, and improve data use for program office staff and the general public.
