Short Statement:
This request for renewal includes the merger of 0579-0187 which added 963 hours of burden. Nearly all of the remaining response and burden decreases may be attributed to a policy change eliminating interstate movement permits for a large number of common species, and the COVID pandemic slowdown over the past three years contributing to a decrease in permit applications.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
