Short Statement: The decrease in the estimated total annual hour burden for rule 22d-1 is attributable to a decrease in the estimated number of respondents from 4,098 to 3,776. The decrease in the estimated number of respondents is the result of an adjustment in the estimated number of funds that currently issue redeemable securities that carry a sales load. The increase in the estimated cost of the internal burden is attributable to an increase in the hourly wage for a compliance attorney from $368 to $425 per hour. Consistent with the prior renewal, there is no external cost burden for rule 22d-1.
