Short Statement: The estimated total annual hour burden has decreased from 2,774,800 hours to 1,936,200 hours. This decrease is the result of a decrease in the number of registered funds from 3,964 to 2,766. This estimate is based on statistics compiled by Commission staff. The reduction in number of registered funds reflects an updated methodology based on funds’ Form N-CEN filings that the staff believes represents a more accurate estimate compared to prior estimates.
