Short Statement: The estimated annual burden of 25,800 hours represents an increase of 1,762 hours over the prior estimate of 24,038 hours. The increase in estimated burden hours results from an increase in the estimated number of series of registered investment companies that may be subject to rule 19a-1. The decrease in the cost burden is to correct the erroneous inclusion in the 2020 renewal of the monetized hour burden as an external cost.
