Abstract:
AMS Grant Programs provide funding to State and local agricultural departments and other local entities to offer support to rural America and the Nation's agricultural sector. Grant Program funding supports a variety of programs including efforts to expand farmers markets and other local food sources.

Short Statement:
The streamlining and uniformity of forms among grant programs has reduced the currently approved burden by -25,339 hours (rounded). The addition of one grant program to this collection will not affect the reporting requirements. There is an overall reduction in grant applicants and grant recipients across the FSMIP, FMPP, LFPP, and SCMP grant programs.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding the proposed collection of information, that the certification covers:
