Short Statement: There has been an increase in burden from 500 hours and 500 responses to 700 hours and 700 responses, an increase of 200 hours and 200 responses. This change is attributed to a thorough review of travel records during the current clearance cycle to calculate the average number of Agreement State travelers during a typical year. In addition, there are three new States with their letter of intents to become an Agreement State in for review. Until the State agreement(s) are signed, we train/travel those State staff along with our regular States. This records review indicated that an average of 700 travelers annually submit the form. Finally, there has been an increase in burden from $279/hr. to $300/hr.
