Short Statement:
There was a 6% decrease in the 2022 submittal of the annual burden hours and the annual number of responses from the 2019 submittal for the renewal of the SF-299. During that time, we went through a national crisis, COVID-19 which impacted numerous individuals, businesses, and government entities, and is reflected in the number of SF-299 applications and other application types the agency receives for the use of National Forest System lands. An increase may have been counted because Federal Government applicants have been added for 2023 to the list for information collection.

$1,711,559
